Tannlin is headquartered thirty miles south of Glasgow, adjacent to Prestwick International Aerospace Park, in Scotland. The Group supplies customers in aerospace, medical, defence, electronic and automotive industries; where Tannlin Technology designs and manufactures laser cutting systems, laser cut parts and is the home of the research and development group; and Tannlin UK designs and manufactures laser cut stencils and PCBA tooling. Manufacturing sites and sales offices worldwide allow Tannlin to work closely with customers in the twenty eight countries that Tannlin has exported to.
Tannlin is recruiting talented engineers to join the R&D department, working on innovative solutions to challenging projects. Successful candidates will be exposed to a wide range of challenges where they will build on their education and experience. Formal training will also be provided alongside supported registration leading to chartership with the relevant professional institution.
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing software solutions on a variety of platforms including systems control, desktop and web. Initially you will be working closely with our existing laser systems machine control software, adding additional functionality alongside looking towards next generations of software. In such a position, tested strategies will be passed from other teams and it will be your responsibility to work with them and produce the algorithms which can operate inside the main machine software. As your experience in laser systems develops, you will be expected to present your own concepts which can be implemented in future generations of products. Projects will be supervised by managers but you will be quickly given responsibility to manage the resources allocated to you and lead your own projects.

The position is full time/permanent (subject to a satisfactory trial period).
£45,000.00 - £55,000.00 DOE
