JOB TITLE: SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN

Tannlin is headquartered thirty miles south of Glasgow, adjacent to Prestwick International Aerospace Park, in Scotland. Tannlin are recruiting a Systems Technician to join the team assisting in the build, installation and support of our systems. The position will involve new systems and support of existing systems through both remote diagnostic support and site visits.

JOB TITLE: SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Tannlin is recruiting talented engineers to join the R&D department, working on innovative solutions to challenging projects. Successful candidates will be exposed to a wide range of challenges where they will build on their education and experience. Formal training will also be provided alongside supported registration leading to chartership with the relevant professional institution.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing software solutions on a variety of platforms including systems control, desktop and web. Initially you will be working closely with our existing laser systems machine control software, adding additional functionality alongside looking towards next generations of software. In such a position, tested strategies will be passed from other teams and it will be your responsibility to work with them and produce the algorithms which can operate inside the main machine software. As your experience in laser systems develops, you will be expected to present your own concepts which can be implemented in future generations of products. Projects will be supervised by managers but you will be quickly given responsibility to manage the resources allocated to you and lead your own projects.

Our tech stack includes: C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET, WPF, WCF, NUnit, JavaScript, Motion Control Scripting, CNC Control Code, SQL Server, MongoDB, Matlab, RAPID, Git, SVN

JOB TITLE: MACHINE OPERATOR

Tannlin are offering an opportunity to join an independent international engineering company in Prestwick in manufacturing operations. Ideally the person should be an organised, reliable individual with an attention to detail who is able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative with a positive attitude.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE

General working hours are 9am - 5pm but given the nature of the business overtime will be required at request and it is expected the successful applicant’s working hours are flexible within reason. Multi shift pattern may be a requirement.

The position is full time/permanent (subject to a satisfactory trial period).

REQUIRED SKILLS

Good standard of education required with ideally a Standard Grade (or equivalent) in Maths, Physics and Graphic Communication. You must be hard working, keen to learn and have good attention to detail. Previous experience of CNC machining would be helpful but not essential. On job training will be provided if required.
